Monsters Under My Bed

The thuds and thumps and smacks and stomps only grew louder as the night grew younger. It turns out it’s not the first time something resonated disturbing the silence of the night. In fact, the noises seemed quite familiar hovering around humans for ages, tapping into their deepest fears. The most scared ones named them monsters lying hidden under their beds.

While the monsters only dared to confront a human in the dark, it marked them with a little of its darkness. With time, this darkness established itself as parasites making its home in human hearts feeding on their scared little minds. If only children were told the truth about the monsters under their bed. If only they were made to realize how untrue these myths were.

As a matter of fact, all the cracking of wood that our ears thought they heard were just the tricks played by our minds. The chasmic insecurities of humans taking its tolls on them. Their busy little minds trying its best to stay on the safe side.

However, one needs to learn a trick or two from its mind’s playbook. How about deceiving the fear in mind with self-assurance? How about loving your fears in all forms?

Today, every single person has had their encounter with fear, and to many, it runs in their veins. But the ones that overcome this dismay had their truce with it. Instead of running scared, these people loved all parts of their fear. And once they stood above their fears, they realized all the best things in life were placed on the other side of it.

It’s not easy to overcome this fear, so instead love it. Make friends with the monsters under your bed.

Be scared as much as you want to but love every process of it and see how your life changes!
